Abstract

SAAVEDRA REY, Sneider. Literary creation in the educational sphere: from the surface structure to the narrative construction of reality. Leng. [online]. 2011, vol.39, n.2, pp.395-417. ISSN 0120-3479.

Based on the marginal importance of literary creation in language educative processes and the prescriptive attention to language surface structure, this article recognizes the literary text as an artistic composition with aesthetic intention, in order to form a distinctive educative practice in comparison to the comprehension and production of other types of texts. It proposes the narrative construction of reality and the exploration of the linguistic code, which favors cognitive processes like symbolization, creativity, and imagination, educating both literary competence and linguistic knowledge

Keywords : literary education; literary creation; surface structure; narrative construction of reality.
