Abstract

OTERO, Lina  and  CORREA, Miralba. The Writing of Detective Fiction: A Scenario for Recursion and Abduction. Leng. [online]. 2013, vol.41, n.2, pp.303-324. ISSN 0120-3479.

The writing of the narrative texts in particular detective fictions constitutes a scenario where recursion and abduction are as enablers of dissimilar positions. This article exposes some theoretical and methodological approaches for research in order to identify the argumentative strategies used by the narrator of this type of stories. The analysis of texts written by eighth grade students suggests that the dialogic dimension created in the narrative texts aids the construction of a divergent thought which is needed in every argumentative act

Keywords : argumentation; detective fiction; recursive reasoning; abductive reasoning; dialogicity.
