BIRCHENALL, Leonardo Barón e MULLER, Oliver. The linguistic theory of Noam Chomsky: from beginning to present. Leng. [online]. 2014, vol.42, n.2, pp.417-442. ISSN 0120-3479.
This article discusses the fundamental aspects of the linguistic theory of Noam Chomsky, which represents one of the most important and controversial ways of explaining the acquisition, comprehension, and production of human language. To this end, an analysis of the main texts of this theory from 1956 to the present is made, and the fundamental topics are contrasted with the points of view of various authors. In addition, we document the aspects that have remained unchanged and those that have been modified over time. The aim of the paper is to allow a clear understanding of the current proposal of Chomsky
