ZULUAGA MOLINA, Juan Felipe. Corpus and Academic Writing Practices in FFL Students from a Colombian University. Leng. [online]. 2017, vol.45, n.2, pp.275-304. ISSN 0120-3479.  https://doi.org/10.25100/lenguaje.v45i2.5273.

This qualitative study reports how the use of computer-based corpora affects the progress in academic writing performance of a group of intermediate learners of French as a foreign language (FFL) from the program Multilingua in Universidad de Antioquia. The study implemented an action-research design and data were collected through students’ writing logs, questionnaires, a focus group and an interview to the professor of the course. The results of the study lead us to conclude that computer-based corpora are useful tools for developing academic writing and that they contribute to active computer-mediated interaction between teachers and students. We can also conclude that the use of corpora contributes to the integration of ICTs in the different actions that take place in the learning and teaching process of a foreign language and culture both inside and outside the classroom environment.
