Abstract
POURMAZAHERI, Afsaneh and ESFANDI, Esfandiar. Treatment of the integration of the exotic referent in the context of alterity. Leng. [online]. 2020, vol.48, n.1, pp.124-142. ISSN 0120-3479. https://doi.org/10.25100/lenguaje.v48i1.6034.
The study of the lexical content of the corpus "travel narrative" provides an opportunity to define the preferred notional fields and to elaborate a glossary of exotic terms or "xenisms" likely to contribute to the "local color" of texts or to the "effect of reality", favoring the information provided by the writers themselves. We are particularly interested in the adaptability and the flexibility of the text which make it more didactic and therefore more comprehensible to the reader. It is through the study of the strategies put in place by the author that we study the cognitive and semantic approximation when the text adapts to the world receiver.
Keywords : referent; travel narrative; borrowing; xenism; alterity.
