This article presents a state of the art on research referring to didactic strategies used for writing training in postgraduate programs in Latin America. The objective of this review was to identify educational practices that have been implemented in the region to strengthen writing at this level of education. For the search of information, the Scopus, Elsevier, Scielo, EBSCO, Redalyc and Google Scholar databases were consulted, in which fifty articles that met the established inclusion criteria were selected and later characterized to answer the question: What strategies or didactic devices are used in Latin America to strengthen academic writing at the postgraduate level? From this review we conclude that the practices for teaching writing in postgraduate programs are diverse and respond to the need for particular contexts. In addition, it was found that it is necessary to articulate the language practices of the purposes and academic practices, since the separation makes written production thought from the writing centers and groups difficult, and at the same time, the need to link proposals that nurture dialogue and work between peers is noted. It was found that it is necessary to implement mixed and multimodal strategies that allow responding to the flexibility needs of students at this level of education.
Keywords : postgraduate writing; didactic strategy; academic writing.
