This study examines the lexical richness of undergraduate theses from three-degree programs in Social Sciences and Humanities at the Universidad Autónoma de San Luis Potosí, Mexico, from 2007 to 2014. The applied methodology is quantitative, descriptive, and non-experimental. The sample consists of the introduction and conclusion sections of 125 theses which are studied through three variables: gender, degree and year in relation to three dimensions of lexical richness: density, diversity, and frequency. The results indicate that women produced the highest number of theses during this period, that the bachelor’s degree in Geography produced the highest number of works and that 2010 and 2011 stood out as the years with the highest lexical generation in undergraduate theses.
