Abstract

MEDINA HURTADO, Santiago; ZULUAGA LASERNA, Esteban; LOPEZ PEDROZA, Daniel  and  GRANDA MAZO, Fabián. An approach for measuring an organization's intellectual capital by applying fuzzy logic systems. Cuad. Adm. [online]. 2010, vol.23, n.40, pp.35-68. ISSN 0120-3592.

Intellectual capital is a component inherent in every company; it is comprised of a group of variables that add value to the firm. Therefore, measuring intellectual capital and its strategic management are often a focal point in 21st century organizations. Unfortunately, due to the intangible, qualitative nature of some of its components, measuring and controlling intellectual capital is not easy. This article proposes an approach for measuring an organization's intellectual capital, using tools based on fuzzy logic.

Keywords : intellectual capital; fuzzy logic systems; strategic management.
