Resumen
BRIDA, Juan Gabriel; MONTERUBBIANESI, Pablo Daniel y ZAPATA AGUIRRE, Sandra. Factors influencing the intention to revisit a cultural attraction: an application to the museum of Antioquia. Cuad. Adm. [online]. 2012, vol.25, n.45, pp.87-112. ISSN 0120-3592.
The revisiting behavior of the public at the Museum of Antioquia is examined. Based on 533 questionnaires distributed among the visitors of the institution between June and August of 2011, and applying a travel cost econometric model, the present work analyzes the factors Influencing the revisit behavior by the public. According to the results, families, free-lancers and retirees are more inclined to coming back than other studied groups. On the other hand, features such as female sex, youth, and high or low income have a negative bearing on the possibility to visit the museum again. Finally, transport and accommodation costs have a positive marginal effect on the revisiting probability, while spending on food and drink has a negative effect. Using these results, different management strategies are recommended.
