Abstract

TOBON, Jorge I.  and  MONTOYA, Laura M.. COMPARISON BETWEEN NATIONAL AND IMPORTED MINERALS RAW MATERIALS USED BY CEMENT FACTORY. Bol. cienc. tierra [online]. 2006, n.19, pp.57-72. ISSN 0120-3630.

In this paper we are presenting the results of comparison of chemical and mineralogical composition for national and imported minerals raw materials as fluorite, gypsum and bauxite for the cement industry. We found than in general the Colombian materials were more contaminates with another minerals, but chemically they have better quality than imported ones. Our country should have products more competitive internationally if benefits methodologies were established and it should replace some minerals raw materials imported.
