Abstract

This work has been done with the aim of raising the lean logistics as one of the solutions as a factor of competitiveness and cost reduction in the miner industry. Here is expressed the need that companies in the transport sector has to improve their logistics management by managing their resources of the best way, reducing costs and using tools of new generation, that improves substantially its competitive strategy in order to achieve advantages competitive in their sector. It began with a brief introduction which states that the transport sector should be able to face changes and adapt to a new situation where the improvement of logistics management as part of its emergence. Information has been gathered and investigated the meaning and importance of logistics management and implementation of Lean Six Sigma tools for strategic planning and competitive advantages to be gained in this sector.
