Abstract

The aim of the research is ro develop a management and economic valuation of mineral resources Mining District Amaga - Antioquia designed to show the valué of the coal deposits and based on this. it can ensure the sustainability and proper management coal resources in the mining districts. First, it presents the characteristics of Amaga Mining District. then shows how the model was constructed with the assumptions and considerations taken into account in the assessment of deposit. and after determining the valué of variables and assuming constant or variable to the proposed scenarios (optimal. normal and pessimistic) and finally we have a table with the valuation of the deposits in all three scenarios projecting the valúes between 2009 and 2018. In conclusion, it can use economic valuation of the coal deposits for tax planning and the sustainability of Colombian subsoil resources. consistent with the constitutional mándate. It is recommended to apply the valuation model to other mineral resources within the Mining District as clay. given the adaptability of the model built. this can also be used in other mining districts of the country.
