Abstract

This article to analyze the more important activities that must be developed in the Amagá's Mining District, with the aim of generating high performance mining production process through supply chain strategies implementation across the whole supply chain. This article starts with a description of the supply chain concept, followed by the Amaga's district supply chain characterization. Finally, it is presented several strategies for obtaining high performance processes in the Amagá's mining industry, and then it is also presented some operational strategies, which might produce operational improvements and global costs reduction in the supply chain.
