Abstract

FRANCO SEPULVEDA, GIOVANNI  and  HENAO GOMEZ., CRISTIAN CAMILO. HYPOTHETICAL MODEL OF A COAL DEPOSIT USING SOFTWARE MINESIGHT®. Bol. cienc. tierra [online]. 2011, n.30, pp.15-22. ISSN 0120-3630.

This article presents a compilation of general terms relating to the generation of a project using tools geological mining provided by Minesight ® executables, which is one of the tools for modeling and mining bakery most used worldwide, taking as its starting point the supply field data until the end with mine planning, linking the different data types in simulations possible and applicable to the coal deposits. In addition to this, we present a case study applied to a hypothetical coal deposit which was modeled taking into account the type of sedimentary deposit and the quality of its coal, achieving an optimal design for the project using Minesight ® and integrating the stages one mining planning software.

Keywords : Mine planning; Block model; geological model; Cut off; Drillholes; Strategic planner; Economic planner; Geo modeling; Coal.
