MANCO P., JULIÁN DAVID; MOLANO M., JUAN CARLOS e ORDONEZ CARMONA, OSWALDO. PARAGENETIC AND MICROTHERMOMETRIC ANALYSIS OF THE AU-AG ORES FROM THE SEGOVIA-REMEDIOS MINING DISTRIC (SRMD): IMPLICATIONS FOR THE SOURCE AND NATURE OF THE ORE-FORMING FLUIDS. Bol. cienc. tierra [online]. 2012, n.32, pp.47-60. ISSN 0120-3630.
The Segovia-Remedios Mining District is one of the largest Colombian Gold Fields because of the amount of mineral resources produced since the last century, and its recognition for gold mining explotation in Northeast Antioquia. The remarkable structural control of lode deposits (besides the geological complexity or the location of the area) have conducted many researchers to suggest different evolution models to achieve real fluid sources. Based on microscopic relationships, a three-stage mineral paragenesis is proposed in this work, where Ag-Au ores precipited in phase II (Mineralizing) accompanied by a big volume of sphalerite + galena + quartz with few quantities of pyrita ± chalcopyrita ± pyrrothite. The DMSR samples exhibit bi-phase fluid inclusions (LH2O+VH2O) which have at least three different associations according to Th (Homogenization temperature) and salinity values. The saline system is H2O+NaCl+CaCl2 likely exhibit a magmatic source.
