Abstract

VILLADA-ARIAS, ISABEL C.  and  LONDONO-CIRO, LIBARDO A.. APPLICATION GEOSTATISTICAL METHODS FOR QUALITY CHEMICAL CHARACTERIZATION OF A DEPOSIT CALCAREOUS MATERIAL. Bol. cienc. tierra [online]. 2014, n.35, pp.15-24. ISSN 0120-3630.  https://doi.org/10.15446/rbct.n35.38233.

The application of statistical methods to geochemical data, enables the estimation of the distribution of the quality of a deposit of calcareous material. Spatial study the contents of CaO, MgO and SiO2, through interpolation methods such as kriging and its variants, provides information of the contents of oxides exist in locations where measurements with estimated reliabilities greater than 90%, providing measures low estimation errors. This allows us to identify potential areas for the occurrence of material suitable for the production of calcium carbonate, which will be evaluated through future phases of exploration.

Keywords : Geostatistics; kriging; calcareous; quality chemical.
