The records of piezometers, survey control points, leachate flow rates and weather stations installed in landfills Curva de Rodas and La Pradera were analyzed. The records of the survey control points were used to calibrate two models extracted from the literature developed to reproduce the behavior of settlements in Municipal Solid Waste (MSW) over time (Exponential model [10] and Marques model [15]). Then the Marques model was selected [15], since it incorporates primary and secondary settlements, both mechanical and biodegradation. For the parameters of this model fitting curves were generated as a function of the height of the column of MSW, being able to estimate settlement curves that approached the registers of the control points, so that the adjustment curves could be applied in landfills of similar characteristics.
