Abstract

TORRES S, JUAN MANUEL. Carrying the world's sin the crucified save. Theol. Xave. [online]. 2008, vol.58, n.166, pp.497-532. ISSN 0120-3649.

Jon Sobrino posits the theologization of the crucified people as an historical continuation of Yahweh's suffering servant. He considers that the crucified peoples, as victims, carrying the sin, bring light and saving power to the world. The present paper reflects on the theological sense of the relationship that Sobrino establishes between crucifixion and salvation that distorts the authentic sense of Christian salvation. It reassumes the hermeneutical principles of dependence and totality that help to understand the connection between carrying the sin and salvation.

Keywords : Crucified people; historical soteriology; to carry the sin; proexistence; suffering servant.
