Abstract

ROMAN HERNANDEZ, Carlos Eduardo. Globalization: Chimera and Religion. Theol. Xave. [online]. 2018, vol.68, n.185, pp.150-178. ISSN 0120-3649.  https://doi.org/10.11144/javeriana.tx68-185.gqr.

Globalization is an economic, political and ideological form assumed by contemporary society as a whole. In this article, these three dimensions are analyzed in a critical way, weighing various judgments about the phenomenon, and seeking to evidence its religious and inhuman substratum. Finally, it seeks to indicate some alternative references for the construction of a more just society.

Keywords : Theology and Economy; Globalization and Religion; Idolatry.
