This article attempts to understand the right to oral health in people deprived of liberty. From the point of view of quality of life as a fundamental component of health, this paper takes the challenge of assuming oral health promotion as a field of political action which should begin with the vulnerable population, becoming an evidence of the consequences of social exclusion in Colombia. According to this, the perspective of social justice emphasizes health when distributing common benefits and problems. In other words, it means the maximization of the prospects of the disadvantaged in society.
