Abstract

Talking about Carlos Eduardo Vasco Uribe is to refer to education in Colombia in the last forty years. And chart his biographical trajectory is to bet for the construction of a valuable story that allows us to understand, in a particular way, the most important curricular discussions in the country, since his work is a landmark in the field of education.The history bet by rebuilding the narrative plot of life, in the words of Paul Ricoeur, in which the Maestro Vasco´s life plans become tight with the elements of the everyday life building a narrative from a biographical interview that gives clues of a sense of a an intellectual career, constructed through dialogues with national and international actors, with cultural and symbolic capitals, with the social networks in play. In that sense, the careful reading of the footnotes is conducive to a complete understanding of the text.
