Abstract

This paper deals to know and understand some of life and work experiences by Gabriela Mistral as a Chilean poet, a teacher, a thinker and a diplomatic officer. Giving a glance on her childhood, teaching career, trips and relationships with politics and politicians of her time, we will try to recognize the tactics (De Certeau, 2007) used by Gabriela to manage and keep herself linked to Chile while she lived abroad.
