This research article presents the results of the perception of professors and directors of professional technical establishments in relation to competencies in entrepreneurship and educational innovation (N = 125). The methodology used combines quantitative and qualitative analysis. For the first one, we performed comparative studies of mean differences through Anova, t-test and Pearson correlation. For the second one, we conducted a content analysis. The main findings show that teachers recognize the need to develop competencies in entrepreneur-ship and innovation in the educational context, as this would allow teachers to provide their students with more tools. For directors, it is necessary to develop concrete proposals, based on socio-cultural realities that imply a social impact in their community. This, on the one hand, would encourage student's motivation and, therefore, their participation; and on the other hand, it could contribute to their community, especially if the projects generated take into consideration the local needs.
