CORREDOR-ARISTIZABAL, Javier. To TalR about the Past: Effects of an Educational Experience in Historica Memory. Rev. colomb. educ. [online]. 2020, n.79, pp.171-202.  Epub Dec 20, 2020. ISSN 0120-3916.  https://doi.org/10.17227/rce.num79-6973.

This article describes an educational experience in historical memory and its effects on the levels of historical knowledge and attitudes in the area. In the text,it is proposed that education Tor historical memory must combine the development of emotional element with others associated to historical reasoning, such as sourcing and the understanding of the role of economical, social and political structures. Additionally, certain principles are identified as fundamental for the design of interventions in the area: Authentic and collaborative learning, student-centered practices, the construction of a healing environment, and the use of digital tools. In order to show the effectiveness of this perspective, a five-week pedagogical experience designed according to these principles was evaluated using as method a multiple choice cognitive assessment and an attitudinal Likert scale. The results of the study show that this intervention was effective to improve the levels of understanding and attitudes in this area. In particular, it was identified a significant effect of the interaction between the participation in the intervention and the pre-posttest change on the comprehension and attitudes scores. That is, students participating in the intervention improved their understanding and attitudes towards historic memory, while the students participating in their traditional history classes did not.
