This article presents some of the results of a research that seeks to identify the main perceptions of violence in schools, focusing mainly on those expressions found among teachers, administrators, and directors of educational institutions The research used a qualitative descriptive methodology through a categorica analysis of the information. The research was carried out with 42 participants from the city of Popayán (Colombia), who work at different types of schools and who are pursuing the Specialization in Educational Management program at Universidad Católica de Manizales. This document focuses on the perceptions of violence arising in the administrative, academic and management areas of educational institutions and which become areas of direct influence of educationa managers as the promoter of change for peacebuilding at school.
