PANU, Gabriela Roxana y MARTINEZ-USARRALDE, María-Jesús. Comparing Gender Equality in Colombia: Gender Equity Participation Index. Rev. colomb. educ. [online]. 2023, n.88, pp.369-394. Epub 23-Ene-2024. ISSN 0120-3916. https://doi.org/10.17227/rce.num88-13228.
The aim of this research paper is to recognize how gender equality is analyzed in this country based on data provided by the main international organizations between 2014 and 2018, from a gender perspective and the feminization of poverty, as well as its relationship with education in Colombia. To this end, a comparative research methodology is undertaken in order to interpret the main indicators, whose results legitimize a certain isomorphism in the discursive rhetoric of the international organizations, where divergences are noted, because of the development models from which they originate, such as the findings presented on women's participation. In the conclusions, a series of programmatic proposals from the aforementioned organizations are pointed out as being conducive to gender equality and, finally, it intends to generate the indicator "Gender Equity Participation Index - GEPI", as a means of measuring Colombian gender equality.
