Abstract

The objective of this article is to analyze the pedagogical influence exerted by the Colombian philosopher Fernando González on Estanislao Zuleta. For this, a detailed exploration of the conception of pedagogy developed by González will be carried out, together with an exposition of the pedagogical activity, which, according to some testimonies, González exercised on Zuleta. In this way, it seeks to achieve three objectives: first, to evaluate the possible contribution offered by González to the concept of pedagogy, its relationship with didactics and with the educational project since the thirties in Colombia; second, to establish the way in which González stimulated Zuleta's curiosity, the desire to think for himself and the attitude towards philosophy as a fundamental tool to build authenticity in his thought; and third, to contribute to the discussion that authors such as Jaramillo (2022) and Caballero (2014) advance about the intellectual biography of Zuleta.

The research was carried out from an interpretative methodology, supported by the review of some passages where González exposed his pedagogical proposal, as well as some documents where people close to the philosophers give an account of the pedagogical activity exercised by González on Zuleta. This article is developed in three moments, through which the pedagogical strategy that González used to bring the young Zuleta closer to the discovery of an authentic philosophical concern is established.
