By using the Continuous Huosehold Survey for the thirteen metropolitan areas of Colombia, the segmentation hypothesis of the urban labour market is examined for each year of the 2001-2006 period. Segmentation evidence is found between large firms and the remainder (interregional or scale segmentation), and between Bogotá and the rest of metropolitan areas (interregional segmentation).
