GARCIA TERUEL, Lucía de la Cueva y PALOMARES VAUGHAN, Francisco Javier. Quality of employment generated by MSMEs in the State of Michoacán, from the perspective of the perceived income sufficiency. cuad.adm. [online]. 2015, vol.31, n.54, pp.50-56. ISSN 0120-4645.
This article seeks to present a review on the quality of employment generated by micro-, small-, and mid-sized companies (MSMEs) in the state of Michoacán de Ocampo, México, from the perspective of income sufficiency, which is one of the multiple indicators for its measurement. This study derived from a prior search with quantitative approach, which implied obtaining, analyzing, and linking data generated through two surveys applied to employment centers and to workers in MSMEs. The research is supported on the study by Bonnet et al.,(2003)who propose measurements from the perspective of society (macro level), the company (meso level), and workers per the individual (micro level), as well as on the dimensions defined by Galardhi (2011). The methodology applied was initially based on the literature review focused on analyzing the characteristics of decent work, a construct emerging within the "Millennium Development Goals", during the 1999 International Labor Conference, which established that decent work must be understood as the opportunity for women and men to secure productive work under conditions of freedom, equity, security, and human dignity. Of the distinct dimensions measuring this construct, the element referring to income sufficiency becomes transcendent. The results permit ensuring that the income perceived by MSME workers in Michoacán is enough to achieve minimum wellbeing for a dignified life
