Abstract

RUANO ARCOS, Leidi Dayely et al. Public Policy for the promotion of innovation in the Food Sector in Colombia. cuad.adm. [online]. 2016, vol.32, n.56, pp.100-114. ISSN 0120-4645.

This article aims to show empirical evidence of the advance of innovation in the food industry and its association with the most relevant changes presented at the level of public institutional policy, in order to promote the transformation of production and competitiveness in recent years in Colombia. To account for this evolution, it was performed an analysis based on the Survey of Technological Development in the Colombian Industry, of the synergies among the actors and institutions of science, technology and innovation, which shows as a result that these links have not yet solidified nor articulated because the National Innovation System is in its embryonic stage. In this sense, it is concluded that innovation in Colombia, regarding the food industry, is ascribed to “open innovation” as an initial learning phase in all the networks that compose it, in which it is also key the role of co-innovation and co-creation as a strategy for the relationship of exchange and participation of the actors involved.
