Abstract

GUTIERREZ AGUILAR, Ricardo. METÁFORAS DE UNA MODERNIDADThree enlightened transitions. Prax. filos. [online]. 2008, n.27, pp.223-244. ISSN 0120-4688.

It is said the Elightenment is an underlined way of independence for Thought and Existence. This sort of social, political, and scientifical revolution prepares for the main revolution in 1789, but we have to pay strongly attention to the ideological path the epystemological thought is carrying on, preceding the political one. Three metaphors set up in this change: from axioms to data, from vision to touch and from mechanicism to organism.

Keywords : Elightenment; Modernity; metaphor; empirism; rationalism.
