Abstract

PLATA PINEDA, Oswaldo. The intrepretation of Sharon Anne Lloyd Hobbes's political theory. Prax. filos. [online]. 2015, n.40, pp.85-112. ISSN 0120-4688.

We discuss the characteristics of the five convex regular Polyhedra described by Plato in the Timaeus and clarify the following issues: first, why the regular polyhedra are five and natural elements which are associated with are only four; second, how is possible the transformation of some elements in others, third, which proportions regulate elements mixture; and fourth, what are the consequences of the platonic proposal for two of the scientific-philosophical problems of that moment: the cause of movement and the existence, or not, of the vacuum
