Abstract

This paper proposes a methodological approach, hermeneutic, to interpret political writers of the past. The method here is formulated and explained in the last part of this work is called "dual approach significance of classical texts." This is rooted in a debate about the valuable contribution and has had profound influence that the methodology for the interpretation of classical texts produced by Quentin Skinner, and its unwarranted criticism of other methodologies against which he raises his own orientation. Therefore, the approach proposed here is also indebted to the perspective of analysis to which Skinner faces radically
