Abstract

MARTIN, Facundo Nahuel. Reading Marx after Preciado. Rethinking the “fragment on machines” from a transhumanist perspective. Prax. filos. [online]. 2018, n.47, pp.169-194. ISSN 0120-4688.  https://doi.org/10.25100/pfilosofica.v0i47.6621.

In this article I intend to read the "fragment of machines" from the Grundrisse notebooks from the standpoint of the prosthetic biodrag production of subjectivities deployed by Preciado. While most Marxist readings of Preciado focus on Testo yonqui, I will argue that re-reading Marx after the concept of prosthetics in Manifiesto contra-sexual allows for a transhumanist reformulation of the concepto of "social individual". This pushes Marx's interpretation beyond the frameworks in which he himself understood the critique of capital. At the same time, this return to Marx illuminates the comprehensive social frameworks within which the technological production of gender takes place. The production of gender and that of machines are articulated in this way in a significant way.

Keywords : capital; production; gender; transhumanism; machinery.
