Abstract

PRATI, Renata. Work and Unhappy Passions. The Meaning of Negativity in Gilles Deleuze. Prax. filos. [online]. 2019, n.48, pp.119-134. ISSN 0120-4688.  https://doi.org/10.25100/pfilosofica.v0i48.7159.

This article advances an interpretation of Gilles Deleuze’s critique of Hegelian dialectic, specially focusing on the problems of negativity and the “unhappy passions”. On this basis, we will pose the question of whether there is a certain “canon of joy” within Deleuzian thinking, that could result in a reduction of difference reverse but symmetrical to the one Deleuze objected in Hegel. This article aims to show, regarding these problems, the presence of an internal tension within Deleuzian thinking that can only be resolved through an interpreting decision.

Keywords : Dialectic; Negativity; Problem; Passions; Difference.
