The main hypothesis argues that the strong gap between politics and economy produced a discursive mood that helped the reception of political discourse of General Onganía. This discourse was the result of catholic nationalism and economic liberalism symbiosis that recovered a tradition opened by intellectuals of La Nueva República. We conclude that Onganía's corporatism was not a new political propose.
