Abstract
ROMERO PICON, Yuri. Ethnographic and Social Interpretation of Interparental Kidnapping of Children from a Juridical Anthropology Viewpoint. univ.humanist. [online]. 2007, n.64, pp.113-138. ISSN 0120-4807.
The article embarks on a detailed investigation into the juridical, psychological and anthropological aspects of Interparental kidnapping of minor children in Bogotá and the violation of custodial and visiting rights of mothers or fathers with respect to their children. During this research, we became interested in finding out if this problem also appears in indigenous communities, and which factors might contribute to that. The article revises the concepts of juridical anthropology and interlegality or legal pluralism, to understand the role that local juridical systems play in managing this problem. Furthermore, we undertake a brief reflection about the children's and teenager's rights in those communities.
