Abstract
PORTO-GONCALVES, Carlos Walter. Another Uncomfortable Truth: The New Political Geography of Energy from a Subaltern Perspective. univ.humanist. [online]. 2008, n.66, pp.327-365. ISSN 0120-4807.
This article analyzes the new geopolitical configuration around the transition of the energy matrix from fossil fuels (such as coal and petroleum) to biomass (such as agro-combustibles ethanol and biodiesel). This text shows how Brazil positions itself as part of the new technical-scientific-agro-industrial-financial-military-mediator world power block, and how social movements elaborate new formulations for old and new topics such as agricultural reform.
Keywords : geopolitics of agro-combustibles; new territorialities; subaltern thought.
