Abstract

RONCALLO DOW, SERGIO. For a re-partition of the sensible: dissensus and openings of new spaces: A reading of aesthetics and politics in J. Rancière.. Signo pensam. [online]. 2008, vol.27, n.53, pp.104-127. ISSN 0120-4823.

This article presents an interpretation of the notions of aesthetics and politics, deeply intertwined in the thought of J. Rancière. In the fist part the paper intends to show politics as an essentially disensual activity and opposed to the police organization that characterizes contemporary post-politics. In the second stage looks for evidence politics as a kind of practice able to articulate new specialties and shows the political nature that has the art as a creator of extraterritorial and dissensual spaces.

Keywords : Politics, police; dissensus; sensorium; spatial turn; sense's geographies.
