Abstract

QUEVEDO URREA, JAIME HUMBERTO. Musical document in Colombia: the unveiling of a hidden memory that has been turned into a research strategy by the cartography of musical practices in Colombia. Signo pensam. [online]. 2011, vol.30, n.59, pp.146-154. ISSN 0120-4823.

This article describes the technical, analytical and scientific problems, around the musical heritage memory in Colombia, sketches some critical reflections on its processing and dissemination and illustrates, based on concrete experiences and developments, technical and scientific paths which led to the production of standards, the establishment of regulatory structures and in the organization of global entities, worldwide, from systematic practices around the musical document, planning their development and qualification. Also, this article, describes how the cartography of musical practices emerged in Colombia, an innovative and complex alternative, that took precedence over the difficulties and made visible part of the musical documentation, which by that time, remained hidden as document and knowledge.
