Communicative practices of the Zenú indigenous Council of Arjona (Bolivar) are functionally articulated with political actions related to achieve autonomy and recognition as indigenous people. Such actions are determined by the need for community empowerment, through the use of legal and democratic spaces where efforts and networks with public and private institutions are established in order to improve their situation as community and confront vulnerability.
