MANRIQUE CHARRY, Juan Francisco. BACON'S INHERITANCE IN THE SPINOZIST DOCTRINE OF LANGUAGE. Univ. philos. [online]. 2010, vol.27, n.54, pp.121-130. ISSN 0120-5323.
Bacon is an author who is merged in some Spinoza's doctrines. Such influence is paramount in his doctrine of language, which is perhaps one of the least themes explored in his work. This paper aims to demonstrate Spinoza as a decided Baconian about language matter, excluding his conviction on the possibility of constructing a universal language. So, the author of this article would argue how Spinoza turned away from Bacon in this point, and approached to Descartes' professed scepticism on this idea at the same time.
