Technologies of Information and communication are useful for numerous applications in favor of education, investigation and in health science applications. This article presents an overview of the different tools offered by this type of technologies from new web pages with medical purposes up to innovative applications of great technology developments placed at service for health care. This advances where put at service at the "Universidad del Norte" and its social and academic impact are shown throughout the article. Further more, it shows the researches that are taking place and how the university is involved in this new technology.
