UTI has a high incidence during childhood, appearing in about 7% of febrile children under one year of age and is an indicator of anatomical and functional anomalies. Clinical suspicion will always be important to reach a rapid diagnosis, in order to perform timely treatments and thus reduce kidney damage and complications.
