Objective:

This study aims to analyze the times of editorial management in the Colombian journals of Health Sciences indexed in Scimago (SJR), year 2017.

Methods:

This consisted in the review of 782 articles published in the 18 journals of Health Sciences. In the work, correlation coefficients were calculated and the Gower similarity coefficient was applied.

Results:

As a result, 775 articles were found with reception and acceptance dates from the 18 journals, which were distributed in 524 (67.61 %) of Research, 70 (9.03 %) of Review, 17 (2.19 %) of Reflection and 164 (21.16 %) of Types of case studies. In the study, no significant correlations were obtained between the variables.

Conclusions:

with respect to the Gower coefficient, it could be inferred that the Colombian Journal of Cardiology and the Faculty of Medicine Journal were the ones that approved the articles published in the period 2017 in less time.
