Abstract: This paper presents the philological study of the editions of the novel Las Casa de las dos Palmas (1988) by the Colombian writer Manuel Mejía Vallejo. Its theoretical and methodological basis are the postulates of textual criticism and the general rules of orthography and grammar of the Real Academia Española, that allows reaching a current and much closer edition to the last wishes of the writer. In this sense, the analysis of the editions helps to identify inconsistencies of different kinds that the literary work has accumulated in the editorial process for twenty-seven years of publication, which aims to correct the critical or philological edition. Finally, the analysis of the editions seeks a critical approach to the editorial process of the novel by Manuel Mejía Vallejo.
