PATINO ROJAS, Diana Marcela. BUILDING AND IMAGINING MEMORY 57 YEARS LATER: BIOGRAPHY, AUTOBIOGRAPHY AND COLLECTIVE HISTORY IN PATRICK MODIANO'S DORA BRUDER. Linguist.lit. [online]. 2015, n.68, pp.145-158. ISSN 0120-5587.  https://doi.org/10.17533/udea.lyl.n68a07.

Patrick Modiano is a contemporary French author who was born during the Liberation time. This article analyses the way in which the author features the Occupation of France throughout his novel Dora Bruder (1997) in order to demonstrate the possibility of becoming a non-present witness who struggles against oblivion, through a poetic that surpasses the historical realism's singular episode.

Palavras-chave : memory; Occupation; biography; autobiography; Patrick Modiano.
