Abstract

GONZALEZ-RATIVA, María Claudia. CAREPUÑO, BOLA'E BILLAR AND BOQUITETROMPETA: MORPHOLOGIC AND PHONOLOGIC CHARACTERISATION OF THE N+DE+N CONSTRUCTIONS AS DYSPHEMISM IN THE SPANISH SPOKEN IN COLOMBIA. Linguist.lit. [online]. 2016, n.69, pp.119-143. ISSN 0120-5587.  https://doi.org/10.17533/udea.lyl.n69a05.

This paper analyses a group of N+de+N lexical units as a pattern of dysphemism in the Spanish spoken in Colombia. The linguistic corpus used in this analysis was compiled from previous dialectological studies. Based on construction grammar, N+de+N structures are characterised as lexical units with morphological and syntagmatic features. Furthermore, it is proposed that the phonological variation of these constructions is a cause for their possible lexicalisation in the spoken variety of Colombian Spanish.

Keywords : N+de+N constructions; lexical units; phonological variation; dysphemisms; lexicalisation..
