Abstract
SIMOES NETO, Natival Almeida. A CONSTRUCTIONAL MORPHOLOGY’S APPLICATION FOR LATIN: THE CASE OF X-ĀRĬU CONSTRUCTIONS. Linguist.lit. [online]. 2017, n.72, pp.30-53. ISSN 0120-5587. https://doi.org/10.17533/udea.lyl.n72a02.
This article is an interpretation of the polysemy of words instantiated by X-Ariu scheme, based on the theoretical assumptions of Constructional Morphology and Cognitive Linguistics. The corpus was collected in Dicionário Escolar Latino-Português, of Faria (1994), from which it obtained 246 instantiations for this scheme. The results showed two lexical categories (adjective and noun) and five groups of semantic affinity (quality, agent, object, locative, quantity), represented by schemes, subdivided into subgroups addressed by subschemas.
