The purpose of this reflection article, which is derived from a research, is to present some considerations regarding research article (RA), considered as one of the discourse genres having higher relevance in the communication of research results and as an indicator of knowledge production and disciplinary development. The results of this research are the following: proposing an analysis route of the scientific article genre based on several interrelated dimensions in rhetorical terms: stance (hedges, boosters, attitude markers), engagement and structural organization, which shows the rhetorical dynamism of this genre.
